Sitting on a limb

Sitting on a limb
All by my lonesome
Little — lethargic — lost.
Surely — somewhere —
There must be others who see
                                    like me?
I’ve felt it at times
In different climes
With various people
We interacted each with the other
                       In sensitive rhymes
Such a beautiful concerto of
                                    sharing
Not a discordant solo
                       of crimes.
For me to continue to care
I need to share
To understand and to confront
With tender ferocity.
But this demands others and
                       reciprocity.
Can’t do it sitting on a limb
                       all by my lonesome.
